Your Prescription

You’ve probably worked out by now that we like to keep things simple, BUT it is necessary to get everything correct to ensure you will be able to see correctly.

SO, if your prescription is –

AND you are totally confident with what you are doing, then feel free to enter your prescription using the drop down boxes on our Online order form

We recommend however that you upload a copy of your prescription, which will then form part of your order (please check that it complies with A, B and C above first though). This is the quickest, easiest and safest option as prescriptions can be written in many different ways.

SINGLE VISION Distance

Help you see distant objects more clearly and generally worn for everyday tasks or specific uses such as driving.

SINGLE VISION Reading

Specifically, for close-up tasks and reading.

VARIFOCALS Distance & Reading

Distance, intermediate and near combined in one lens for vision at all distances.

NON-PRESCRIPTION Fashion

To be worn as a fashion accessory only or to have prescription lenses fitted by a supplier of your choice.

SPHERE (SPH)

Indicates the strength of your prescription.

CYLINDER (CYL)

This indicates the amount of lens power for astigmatism.

AXIS

The direction of the astigmatism, measured in degrees. The number tells us the correct angle to position your lenses in the frame.

ADD

This is your reading addition and relates to the amount of additional correction needed to focus at close distances. If a measurement is shown in this section of your prescription, it means you have different prescriptions for distance and reading.
